Year - 1949

Director - Akira Kurosawa

Country - Japan

Cast - Toshiro Mifune, Cheiko Nakakita, Miki Sanjo, Takashi Shimura etc.

I am yet to see an Akira Kurosawa film that fails to enthrall me and The Quiet Duel is no exception. It deals with ballsy topics, using the subject of disease as a metaphor for post war Japan and features a young and compelling Toshiro Mifune.
